This kit includes everything that you need to get you started burnishing using the same tools that I use in my own shop. The burnishing cloths can be used individually or sewn together into a burnishing glove.
2- 12×12″ 15oz natural duck canvas burnishing cloth
1- 3.5oz/100g tin Fiebing’s white formula saddle soap
1- 1oz filtered 100% natural beeswax

1. Trim or sand leather edge flush.
2. Lightly dampen the edge to be burnished with water and slick with canvas burnishing cloth until a glossy edge develops. Depending on the size of the piece, this may require additional dampening as you work.
3. Apply a small amount of saddle soap to the burnishing cloth. Slick the edge with the cloth to further refine it. IF the edge becomes dry, apply soap to the cloth sparingly.
4. Apply a small amount of wax to the leather edge. Rub with burnishing cloth until the edge is smooth, glossy, and evenly colored. This may require additional applications of wax.
